Peaks and high plateaus

The Odle pinnacles and Puez peaks dominate the horizon in the midst of conifer woods and vast open meadows, a majestic, untouched landscape. Footpaths here wind their way through flower-filled meadows and along panoramic ridges, inviting you to stop, look and contemplate. From the delicate colours of spring to the snowy peace of winter, the mountains have a natural, profound rhythm to them which is a world away from the distractions of everyday life.

History, stones and silence

The park's legends are carved into its rocks and meadows, testifying to past eras and Alpine traditions. Its remote mountain huts and shelters are opportunities to stop and contemplate, listen to the mountain breezes and observe the light on the meadows, in dialogue with the mountains, a veritable rock-sky experience in which the body slows down and the spirit opens up to timeless views. The era in which this unique UNESCO heritage site was a land of volcanoes and moving seas rimmed with coral reefs seems to echo around it. In winter the Puez-Odle park is a snow-shoeing and ski mountaineering paradise.
